Matt McCants will make his second career start Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. That was confirmed when starting right tackle Tony Pashos was listed among the Raiders inactives prior to an afternoon kickoff against the Steelers. Pashos is out with a hip flexor injury suffered during an Oct. 13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He missed the previous game against San Diego with a groin strain, which gave McCants his first start.
He's fared well in recent weeks, allowing just two quarterback hurries in extended time. Pashos isn't the only offensive lineman out with injury. The Raiders declared three blockers inactive, including tackle Menelik Watson and guard/center Andre Gurode. Lamar Mady is the only reserve guard and Jack Cornell, promoted from the practice squad on Saturday is the only backup tackle.
Safety Tyvon Branch, linebacker Martez Wilson, defensive end Ryan Robinson and receiver Juron Criner are also inactive.
